Star of the first talking movie, 1927’s The Jazz Singer. He was known for entertaining troops overseas during WWII.

He was married to Henrietta Keller from 1907 to 1920, Alma Osbourne from 1922 to 1928, Ruby Keeler from 1928 to 1940 and Erle Galbraith from 1945 to 1950. He had three children named Alicia, Asa and Al Jr.
