Beloved comedic actress from The Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Golden Girls who later hosted Betty White’s Off Their Rockers and starred in Hot in Cleveland. She won six Emmy Awards and, in 2009, she received the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award. 

She was married to Allen Ludden from 1963 until his death in 1981.

On the morning of December 31, 2021, White died in her sleep at her home in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles from a stroke she had on Christmas Day. She was 99. Her remains were cremated and given to Glenn Kaplan, who was entrusted with carrying out her advanced health care directive.
