Biography - A Short Wiki

Scientist and former NASA astronaut who was a member of the sixth group of astronauts chosen by NASA in August 1967. He founded the New Energy Movement in 2003 and was also known for his unorthodox beliefs about space and science.

He attended Georgetown University and UC Berkeley where he published scientific articles.

He was featured on the Fox TV special ‘Conspiracy Theory: Did We Land on the Moon.’

Personal Life

He had two children with his wife Meredith Miller.

He was asked by Carl Sagan to teach at Cornell University in 1968 after he left NASA.

How did Brian O'Leary die?

O’Leary contracted skin cancer in his 60s, which he treated with an alternative methodology involving a substance called Cansema. After surviving his second heart attack (precipitated by an ayahuasca ceremony) in 2010, he died of intestinal cancer on July 28, 2011, soon after diagnosis, at his home in Vilcabamba.
