Indian-born English poet whose composer husband, Edward Elgar, set many of her works, including “The Wind at Dawn” and “Fly, Singing Bird,” to music. She also published an 1882 novel entitled Marchcroft Manor.
Her daughter established the Elgar Birthplace Trust in her memory.
