She was a leading female actress in the 1980s, and appeared in the 1981 film For Your Eyes Only and the 1980 film Rough Cult.

She appeared in an Australian stage production of Boeing Boeing at the age of 16.

She was married to her second husband Pierce Brosnan from 1980 until her death in 1991. She and Brosnan had three kids named Charlotte, Christopher and Sean Brosnan.
