Supercentenarian who gained fame as the world’s oldest living man confirmed by the Guinness Book of World Records in February 2020 at age 112. He also became the oldest man from Niigata Prefecture upon his confirmation as the world’s oldest man.
He and his wife Mitsue shared five children. He had 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
