Comedian and actor who played the role of father Ted Crilly on the sitcom Father Ted, for which he won the BAFTA for Best Actor in 1998. He died 24 hours after recording the last episode of Father Ted, of a heart attack while hosting a dinner party.
He had two sons by his wife Susanne Morgan and one son by his partner Fiona Clarke. In 2013 a special documentary called Dermot Morgan – Fearless Funnyman aired on RTE One.
