Biography - A Short Wiki

Remembered for her World War I-era participation in the Women’s Royal Air Force, this British citizen also became famous as a supercentenarian; she died just two weeks short of her 111th birthday.

Her nearly six-decade marriage to military man and railroad worker Walter Green resulted in two daughters — May and June — and one son, Bob.

I enjoyed my time in the WRAF. There were plenty of people at the airfields where I worked, and they were all very good company.

I met dozens of pilots and would go on dates. I had the opportunity to go up in one of the planes, but I was scared of flying.
