Famous for his membership in the prominent Roosevelt political family, Hall Roosevelt was the nephew of President Theodore Roosevelt; the younger sibling of First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt; and the brother-in-law (and distant cousin) of President Franklin D. Roosevelt.
His first marriage, to Margaret Richardson, resulted in sons named Henry and Daniel and a daughter named Eleanor. Following his divorce from Richardson, he married Dorothy Kemp (whom he also eventually divorced); the couple raised daughters named Amy, Diana, and Janet Roosevelt.
