Biography - A Short Wiki

Known for his work on such television series as Kojak, Ben Casey, and Night Gallery, this Emmy-nominated producer, director, and screenwriter also created the short-lived NBC series The Bold Ones: The Protectors.

A child actor, he played a small role in several 1930s films, including a Ray Enright-directed comedy called The Circus Clown.

Several of his Night Gallery episodes were inspired by the work of horror fiction writer H.P. Lovecraft.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, he died of cancer in his late sixties and was buried in the famous Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

He frequently worked with actor Leslie Nielsen, creating such movies as See How They Run and Dark Intruder specifically for Nielsen.
