The former vice president and one of the founders of the Trinity Broadcasting Network, this Alabama-born Christian woman also headed a humanitarian organization known as the Smile of a Child Foundation.

She was raised in Columbus, Georgia, as the daughter of Assemblies of God Reverend Edgar Bethany. She studied at Evangel College in Missouri.

She became known for wearing an over-sized pink hairpiece.

Her marriage to fellow Christian broadcaster Paul Crouch resulted in sons named Matthew and Paul, Jr.
