The former vice president and one of the founders of the Trinity Broadcasting Network, this Alabama-born Christian woman also headed a humanitarian organization known as the Smile of a Child Foundation.
She was raised in Columbus, Georgia, as the daughter of Assemblies of God Reverend Edgar Bethany. She studied at Evangel College in Missouri.
