Biography - A Short Wiki

Former mafia hitman with the Los Angeles crime family turned state’s evidence – one of the highest placed mafia members to do so, ever.

Beginning his crime career as a fruit-stealing youth in Cleveland, he later moved to Los Angeles and became a made man in the Los Angeles crime family.

After joining the government’s payroll, he was paid $25,000 a year for him and his wife, plus free medical care and moving expenses – on top of which he earned royalties from his popular autobiography.

He was born in Naples, Italy, and his parents moved to the U.S. when he was four months of age.

Among his close associates were not only other crime bosses, but also the singer Frank Sinatra.
