American actress who appeared as Wrangler Jane on the 1960s TV series F Troop.

She was married three times: to James MacArthur, Robert Seaton, and Vern Miller. Her first husband, James MacArthur, was a series regular on Hawaii Five-O, and Patterson also appeared on the show while she was living with MacArthur in Hawaii.


On August 20, 2015, at the age of 66, Melody Patterson passed away in a nursing home in Hollister, Missouri, due to multiple organ failure.

Larry Storch, her co-star from F Troop (Corporal Agarn), shared the news of her death on Facebook, expressing his sorrow: “It’s with a heavy heart that we can let you know our beloved Wrangler Jane, Melody Patterson, passed away today. Our hearts are sad today. RIP Sweet Melody. We love you.”


Jason Bradley of Cremations of the Ozarks handled her funeral arrangements.


Patterson was cremated and has no final resting place.
