German singer-songwriter known for her solo work as well as her collaboration with the Velvet Underground on their widely acclaimed 1967 album The Velvet Underground & Nico. On the album she sings such songs as “Femme Fatale” and “I’ll Be Your Mirror.”
She was born Christa Paffgen in Cologne, Germany. She had a son named Christian Aaron Boulogne with actor Alain Delon.
