Halfback who won the 1939 Heisman Trophy as a member of the University of Iowa Hawkeyes. He tragically died while training to become a U.S. Navy aviator in World War II and in his honor, the University of Iowa named its football stadium after him.
He was the son of Nile and Francis Kinnick and he was raised with two brothers, Ben and George.
