Tenor saxophonist known for his fiery sound and for his work with many famous artists in the 1950s and 1960s, like Dinah Washington.

He attended Florida A&M for music and was invited to play with the Griffin Brothers after he graduated.

He was featured on American Bandstand in 1957 with Johnny Mathis.

He and his wife June raised a daughter, Natalie Watts Brown.

Watts worked with many different artists in the 1950s, including Chuck Berry.
