Biography - A Short Wiki

Painter, sculptor, and designer associated with the Bauhaus School. He was best known for “Triadisches Ballett” that transformed actors into geometrical shapes.

He was a prized student of Christian Landenberger, Friedrich von Keller, and Adolf Hölzel. He served as Master of Form for the Bauhaus Theatre Workshop beginning in 1923.

He created the “Fensterbilder” series of mystical paintings.

He grew up the youngest of six children. He married Helena Tutein in 1920.

He and Paul Klee both taught at the Bauhaus School.
