This member of the Barbados Labour Party served from 1994 until 2008 as his country’s Prime Minister. After losing the 2008 election to Democratic Labour Party candidate David Thompson, he continued his political career as the Parliamentary Leader of the Opposition.

Following their 2006 wedding, he and his wife Julie Price Arthur welcomed a daughter named Leah.
