The children of an insurance salesman, she and her two siblings spent their early years in Camberwell, South London, England.

Comedy actress Pat Coombs, who appeared in a string of classic TV sitcoms, has died aged 75. The star, also well-known to EastEnders fans for her stint as Marge Green, died at Denville Hall actors’ home in West London, after complications caused by emphysema.
