Biography - A Short Wiki
Brazilian philosopher who was instrumental in the development of the pedagogy field in the twentieth century. His book, Pedagogy of the Oppressed, became one of the most important texts in the critical pedagogy movement.
He married Elza Maia Costa de Oliveira in 1944 and they had five children.
He was 75 and had lived in Sao Paolo since 1981. The cause was a heart attack at the hospital after he was admitted there on Thursday after an earlier heart attack, said his stepson Eduardo Hasche.
