Singer, guitarist, and songwriter who rose to fame during the late 1960s and early 1970s. A founding member of the popular English rock band Badfinger, he wrote and performed such hits as “Day After Day” and “Baby Blue.”

He committed suicide at the age of twenty-seven, while expecting his first child. His daughter Petera was born just a month after his death.
