Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, was a British royal family member and Queen Elizabeth II’s husband. He stood by his Queen’s side for more than seven decades before passing away.

What was Prince Philip’s cause of death?

Prince Philip has died at the age of 99, just two months short of his 100th birthday. The cause of death has not been revealed, but the Prince spent quite some time in hospital earlier this year. Buckingham Palace said that “Further announcements will be made in due course.”

Where will the Prince be buried?

After the funeral service, the Duke’s body will be interred in St George’s Chapel’s royal vault; however, this will not be his final resting place.

Philip’s body will be moved to the King George VI memorial chapel when the Queen dies. There they will rest in peace together along with the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret.
