Argentinian cartoonist most recognized for his comic strip, Mafalda. He also won the Konex Platinum Prize for Visual Arts Award on two separate occasions.
He studied in Mendoza, outside of Buenos Aires, at the Escuela de Bellas Artes.
He won the Konex Platinum Prize for Visual Arts twice.

He was 88. The cause was complications of a stroke, Julieta Colombo, his agent and niece, said. Quino first drew Mafalda in 1963 for an advertising campaign to sell home appliances.
