Biography - A Short Wiki

The sixth Prime Minister of India from 1984 to 1989 who took office after the assassination of his mother, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. He was the youngest Indian premier and he was known for his dismantling of government quotas, tariffs and permit regulations on economic activity before being assassinated in 1991.

He belongs to a significant political family as his grandfather Jawaharlal Nehru was the first prime minister of India, serving from 1947 to 1964. Rajiv was married to Sonia Gandhi from 1968 until 1991 and they raised two kids named Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi.
