Television personality and founder of the American company Ronco. He was frequently seen on various television commercials from the 1980’s on, advertising multiple products such as the Veg-O-Matic, the Pocket Fisherman and Mr. Microphone. He also made cameo appearances on television shows such as Futurama, King of the Hill, Sex and the City, The Simpsons and The Daily Show. 

He is a native of New York City. He was born in a Jewish family that was split when he was a child. As a teenager he moved with his father, Samuel Popeil, and started working in his family’s business. He was married three times and had five children.
