Played the role of Artemus Gordon, the Secret Service agent, and master of disguise on the CBS Western series, The Wild Wild West.

He was born Martin Rosenblatt into a Jewish family in Grodek, Poland; his family emigrated to New York when he was still an infant.

Martin had one child with his first wife, Muriel Weiss. They separated in 1965, and two years later, he remarried a successful model and documentary director Olavee Lucile Parsons and adopted her two children.

On July 3, 1981, Martin played a game of tennis at San Vincente Tennis Ranch, San Diego County Club of Ramona, California. Afterward, he suffered a fatal heart attack and was rushed to the Pomerado Hospital in Poway, California. His life could not be saved, and he was pronounced dead on arrival.
