Sivaji Ganesan’s real name was Villupuram Chinnaiya Manrayar Ganesamoorthy. He was one of India’s most respected film actors, he is often referred to as The Marlon Brando of Indian Cinema. He is known for his award-winning roles in films like Gnana Oli and Muthal Mariyathai.

Villupuram Chiniahpillai ‘Sivaji’ Ganesan’s final resting place is at the Besant Nagar crematorium in Chennai (Madras), where his eldest son Ramkumar Ganesan performed the last rituals.
