Acclaimed Spanish actor whose career spanned seven decades between the 1940s and 2010s en route to earning a star on the Madrid Walk of Fame. He was honored with the Spanish Cinema Writers Circle Awards career award in 2011 before his 2012 death at age 90.
He was an athlete during his teenaged years as a prolific boxer and soccer player. He would make his professional acting debut in 1944 with a Spanish theater company.
He won his second Goya Award in 1999. He starred on the popular TV drama Cuéntame cómo pasó between 2001-2008.
