American stage and screen actress who earned a Tony Award nomination for her 1955 Broadway debut in The Diary of Anne Frank.
Her father, Lee Strasberg, was a famous acting theorist and coach. She married fellow actor Christopher Jones.
In the mid 1990s Strasberg was diagnosed with breast cancer. Although believed to be in remission, she died of the disease at her home in New York City on January 21, 1999, at the age of 60.
