Oscar-nominated actress who became immortalized as Morticia Addams on the original version of The Addams Family, which ran from 1964 to 1966.

She was married to her third husband, Peter Bailey-Britton, from 1982 until her death.

How did Carolyn Jones die?

Jones experienced recurring stomach problems and was diagnosed with colon cancer in March 1981. Nevertheless, she continued to work, telling her colleagues she was being treated for ulcers.

It seemed her cancer had gone into remission for a period, but unfortunately, it returned in 1982.

In 1983, Jones fell into a coma at her home in West Hollywood, California, where she died on August 3, 1983.
