Also known as the Elvis of hosting, he was an Emmy-winning face of NBC’s Tonight show from 1961 to 1992.
He got married 4 times: first to Joan Morrill (Jody) Wolcott on October 1, 1949, whom he had three sons with. He then was married to Joanne Copeland on August 17, 1963, to Joanna Holland on September 30, 1972, and finally to Alexandra (Alexis) Maas on June 20, 1987.
