Arnold R. Krakower, her attorney, who announced the death, said “To the very end she put up a gallant fight to live . . . In her passing the world has lost a great, beautiful talent, and those who knew her have lost an irreplaceable friend.”

She was interred in the Westchester Hills Cemetery in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York.
